BREAKING news on Tyler Cowen. The man is a class-one foodie too, and the author of a guide to ethnic eating in the Washington, DC, area. An admirer of the Cowen way with chopsticks writes:
Aside from the general tone (unpretentious), subject matter (Mr Cowen’s palate, like mine, lists eastward), and utility, I love this blog for the reason he mentions in the second graf under general remarks: this enormous multiethnic profusion happened in the last 15 years. I left DC 15 years ago. The idea that Wheaton now hosts south Asians and central Americans instead of, well, hillbillies wandering in from western Maryland never ceases to amaze me.
